Esther is a pregnant amputee, estranged from her father who caused the accident in which she lost her leg. She and her husband, Dan, are journeying by car to their new home, an abandoned station called Rosghill in the Scottish Highlands.
Spanning the course of a week, Bee Lewis's gothic fantasia follows Esther as her marriage, life and body begin to dramatically change. By day, she is isolated physically and mentally within her marriage and new environment. By night, she explores a forbidding forest, pursued by a shadowy figure.
Symbolism, dreams and violence abound in this spellbinding unsnaring of a soul.Buy Now
All my life, I have loved books and reading. I started writing seriously in 2011 after enrolling on an Open University course which was the springboard for me to study for a Masters Degree in Creative Writing at Manchester Metropolitan University. It was during this time that I had the first ideas for my debut novel, Liminal.
I've worked in a number of industries including rail, private sector, small business, and local government. Perhaps my most unusual job was when I was a train announcer at Reading Station.
I live in a small coastal town in East Sussex and I have a number of publishing credits. In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the South Downs and the coast, and have a particular weakness for live music and comedy. I'm working on my next novel and enjoying hearing what the characters have to say.
